Portraiture Workshops
The cost for the course is $200. A list of required art materials will be supplied you, much of which you may already have.
This Portraiture Workshop is really well suited to people with all different artistic backgrounds - from a total beginner to a self-taught person who wants to go back to learn skills, techniques, and an understanding of the elements and principles of design, all while focusing on the fascinating human face!
Each class will involve several interesting challenges that will help you relax and take risks, learning to use the right side of your brain. I want you to amaze yourself while having a really FUN experience at the same time.
You will need a good internet connection, and a computer or iPad that has a video camera (web cam), microphone, and speaker. You will also need a free Zoom account (I have a professional host account) and access to a printer.
This Portraiture Workshop is designed for people who have some drawing background and some experience drawing portraits. While improving proportion and likeness, we will be focussing on capturing character, expression, emotion and challenging poses.
Each class will involve several interesting challenges, such as drawing children and elderly people. We will also have projects that explore different styles of portraiture.
